German Unity Day - History coming together

On October 3, Germany celebrates German Unity Day. On this date in 1990, East and West Germany were reunited. A day about freedom, togetherness and a new chapter after decades of division.

For coin collectors, German history offers plenty to discover. From marks and pfennigs to today's euros: every coin carries a piece of history, ready to find a place in your collection.

To mark this holiday, Collect And More is offering 10% off all coins from Germany from October 3 through October 13, 2026.

Take a look at our range and find that missing piece that makes your collection a little more complete.

Germany was reunited in 1990, now it is time to reunite those missing coins with your collection!

This week we are adding a batch of around 87 coins from 27 countries. Among the new offerings are a few uncommon "RARE" coins.

This week we again have special additions for collectors of coins, varieties and tokens!

S41-C01-0232 - Russia, 5 kopecks 1901 (Y#19a.1)
This coin was struck in Saint Petersburg under Tsar Nicholas II. There are two varieties with different mintmaster marks: ФЗ (Felix Zaleman), often read as '03', and АР (Alexander Redko). We are offering the rarer and more sought-after АР variety, catalogued as Bitkin #177 (R). The estimated value in VF condition is 60-120 US dollars.

S41-C01-0228 - Switzerland, 20 rappen 1947
This specimen shows the well-known dot above the 4, described in German-language catalogues as "Punkt zwischen Büste und 4". This deviation is generally attributed to a die defect. A fun addition for collectors of errors and varieties!

S41-C01-0287 | S41-C01-0288 | S41-C01-0289 | S41-C01-0290 | S41-C01-0291 - Sweden
Five small silver coins with special details: a short or long '6', a complete or broken 'G' and a low or high placed 'G'. Small differences that make collecting even more fascinating.

A special souvenir from Guernsey
We have also added a nice token. Between 1969 and 1972, L. L. M. Jones, owner of Cambria Products in St. Peter Port, had these souvenir tokens struck in Birmingham. With every plaster wall plaque sold, he gave one away. The obverse reads: "IN GUERNSEY A HALF-PENNY IS CALLED FOUR DOUBLES". The reverse shows The Little Chapel in Les Vauxbelets: the famous small chapel decorated with shells, pebbles and thousands of pieces of broken porcelain.

Will you help us test our auction site?
Last week we invited you to test our new auction site, which we plan to launch soon. As a thank you, the first five testers who sign up receive a test voucher for 20% off their first auction purchase. Interested? Send an email to cloud@coinsandmore.nl.

Enjoy discovering the new additions, and remember: sometimes the special part is in a tiny dot!

Anlaesslich dieses Feiertags gibt Collect And More vom 3. bis einschliesslich 13.

Auf der Vorderseite steht: "IN GUERNSEY A HALF-PENNY IS CALLED FOUR DOUBLES".
